TGIF-As a kid this was the coolest phrase ever. It meant
school was done for the week and we had a two day hiatus from the
classroom. It also meant we got to spend
the evening with a great TV line up- Full House, Step by Step, Family Matters,
Boy Meets World-they just made good shows back then. If we had been good that
week ice cream might also be included in the festivities. These days the
awesome shows are gone and my ice cream consumption is no longer dependent upon
my behavior, but I still love Fridays.
It marks the beginning of the weekend and the end of a long week. I’m glad we
get to have a Friday every week. Thank goodness for such an important mile
marker.
